100% Pink Coconut Water

100% Pink Coconut Water

Where do you source your coconut water from?

Our coconut water is sourced from Thailand.

What are Nam Hom coconuts?
Nam Hom (Aromatic Water in English) is a particular variety of coconut that can only be found in Thailand – nowhere else in the world. Our coconuts are harvested from the Amphawa region.
What are polyphenols?
Polyphenols are a type of micronutrient, packed with antioxidants and health benefits.
Why is your coconut water pink?
Nam Hom can show a wide spectrum of colours: from white to dark purple. Generally, it is quite normal to have the colouration of this water to assume a pinkish hue. The pink colours comes from naturally occurring antioxidants mixing with the enzymes in the coconut water, leaving you with a slightly sweeter and lighter taste. In essence, pink signifies natural!
My coconut water isn’t pink - why?
Being a completely natural product with no additives or artificial colouring, the pink hue may vary. The pink hue also may slowly dissipate over time, which is a natural process. There are several factors that can have an effect on the colour: exposure to light, temperature changes, rapid exposure to oxygen, etc. We always do our best to ensure our products arrive into your hands at their freshest, though even if it is not very pink when you drink it, we guarantee this does not mean it is not fresh! The most important characteristic of Nam Hom coconuts is its taste profile.
How is Nam Hom different to other mainstream coconut waters?
What sets us apart from the other commercial coconut waters is our taste profile. Nam Hom is naturally sweeter, with a nutty fragrancy and macadamia aftertaste. Indeed, some side-variety of coconuts might offer remarkable sweetness, but with total absence of the ‘nuttiness’ – these are not pure Nam Hom coconuts. Just one sip is all it takes to tell the difference between coconut water and Nam Hom coconut water!
What is the shelf-life?
Tetra Pak allows our coconut water to be shelf stable for up to 12 months.
What process do you use?
After coconuts are harvested, washed, and cracked open, the liquid inside is flash-pasteurised and then packaged in a Tetra Pak. Flash pasteurisation helps preserve the best natural flavour and nutrients and kill potentially harmful bacteria.
What is Tetra Pak?
Tetra Pak is a BPA-free (BPA stands for Bisphenol A – an industrial chemical), eco- and socially-responsible form of packaging made from wood fiber, a sustainable resource. Tetra Pak keeps our Nam Hom coconut water fresh and gives it a shelf life of up to 12 months. For more information, visit www.tetrapak.com.
How are your coconuts harvested?
We assure you that our coconuts are picked by humans. We do not source coconuts that have been picked by exploited monkeys who are cruelly chained and trained. In addition, our Nam Hom coconut water typically comes from coconuts grown on dwarf trees, so harvesting them does not require monkey labour.
